Heat Transfer Characteristics of Cold Water Phase-Change Heat Exchangers under Active Icing Conditions

Under active icing conditions, the heat transfer performance of CPHE has a significant impact on system’s efficiency and energy consumption. Using enthalpy-porosity method for describing solidification process liquids, simulation analysis effects different parameter changes were conducted to clarify in intermediary side inlet water temperature, intermediate flow rate, cold rate CPHE. According our results, changing temperature greater cold-water phase-change exchangers. For every decrease 0.5 °C average coefficient increases by approximately 50 W/m2-K. Changes affect exchanger’s process. By increasing exchanger can be improved, but growth decreases, maximum should not exceed m per second. A change small 0.02 m/s each, with 20
